Krithika Sreenivasan
A BE degree holder, a Karnatik musician, a writer, a music educator and a Special
Projects Executive at the Indian Music Experience Museum, India’s first interactive
music museum – this sums up Krithika’s musical journey. She comes with years of
training and experience both in performing and teaching of music. Currently receiving
advanced training from Vidwan Chitravina Ravikiran and Vidwan Anoor
Ananthakrishna Sharma, she has imbibed the best of the abilities of both her Gurus.
Always working on conceptualizing newer thematic presentations, she has amassed a
vast repertoire of compositions and compositional forms.

Krithika is undergoing advanced training from Sangeet Samrat Chitravina N Ravikiran
and Layakalapratibhamani Vidwan Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma in various
aspects of Manodharma and specialization in Ragam Tanam Pallavi presentations.
She is also trained under Ganakalabhushana Vidushi.T.S. Vasantha Madhavi.
AUDIOBOOK
Based on her Kannada book on musicians that she co-authored with her mother,
Prof Geetha Sreenivasan, on “Great Musicians who died young”
(Alpaayushyada Mahan Sadhakaru), she has released an audiobook of the
same in Kannada and English. This audiobook feature is a unique concept and is
the first of its kind in Carnatic Music as well. This audiobook features 22
musicians who died young, rising to great heights in a short life span. Each
musician is featured as a chapter in the audiobook, where there is a brief
narration about their life achievements, followed by a musical presentation that
she has presented, of one of the compositions composed/popularized by them.
Deepikaa Sreenivasan
Deepika Sreenivasan, one of the few performing female percussionists in the country, is a
young mridangist, rising fast to establish her position in the musical field. She received her
initial training under Vidwan Nandyala Ramamurthy and is now under the tutelage of
Vidwan Patri Satish Kumar.
Achievements and Accolades
• She has completed Vidwath degree in mridanga, conducted by the Karnataka
Secondary Education Board, with distinction.
• She is a “B-High” graded artiste of the All India Radio, Bangalore.
• She is a recipient of the prestigious Scholarship for Young Artistes from the
Ministry of Culture, Government of India (adjudged by Vidwans T.K. Murthy
and T S Sankaran)
• She has received a Music Scholarship awarded by the Karnataka Sangeeta
Nritya Academy
• She has won many prizes at percussion competitions, noteworthy among them
are Vellore Ramabhadran Endownment from the Sri Shanmukhananda
Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai and Amruthur Janaki Ammal Endowment from the
Percussive Arts Centre, Bangalore.
• She has provided mridangam support to the project “Kalyani Pravaaham”, a
digital album of compositions of Vidushi Kalyani Varadarajan, a prominent
composer of 700 kritis, whose compositions have been sung by stalwarts like TRS
and S Rajam. The album will see an overseas release this November.
• She has arranged music for a tripartite YouTube series, “Kannada Kavya
Kamanabillu”, which explores the presentation of medieval Kannada poetry in a
Carnatic classical setting.
• She has also performed for programmes produced for television (Doordarshan,
Shankara, Zee Kannada, InSync).

Konnakkol, with world-class percussionists like Pandita Anuradha Pal (Stree
Shankthi), Vidushi Sukkanya Ramgopal (Stree Taal Tarang) and Vidushi Sumathi
RamMohan Rao.
• She was a part of a special performance for the former President of India, Late Sri
A P J Abdul Kalam, in Bangalore.
• She has directed a special 30-minute percussive segment in the complex taala
“Chapu Taala Maalika”, under the auspices of Udupa Foundation, Bengaluru.
